Why is the entire route checked?
Compliance of a passenger with the requirements of the destination country does not yet mean their compliance with the requirements of all countries along the declared route.
In case of transit, it is necessary to take into account the requirements of each country along the way. They may vary depending on the passenger's citizenship, available travel documents, visas and electronic permits, transit conditions, and the specifics of the particular route.
Therefore, the verification is carried out for the entire transportation route, including the destination country and all transit countries.
What the verification includes
The verification is carried out with respect to a specific passenger and a specific route, rather than being limited to the formal presence of individual documents.
We verify the validity of travel documents and their compliance with the requirements of the specific carriage
We verify the presence and compliance of required visas, electronic visas, ETAs, and other entry or transit permits
We verify the entry conditions applicable to a specific passenger, taking into account their citizenship, documents, and the circumstances of the carriage
We verify the transit conditions in all states along the declared route, including the necessity for transit visas and other permits
We verify the presence and compliance of additional documentation and other requirements applicable to the specific passenger and route
We identify signs of forgery, data alteration, and other discrepancies in the passenger's travel documents
Security and Assistance identifies discrepancies in travel documents and the migration requirements of the destination country and transit countries before the passenger is accepted for carriage.
Based on the verification results, the airline receives information on the identified discrepancies and migration risks, as well as a justified recommendation regarding the possibility of transporting the passenger.
